Library Cards

Jill from the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library came in to read the class a book and talk about how they could get a library card! She wanted to make it really easy for them so the sign up info came home in the Friday Folder...if you fill it out and send it back into school, I will deliver them to the library!

Art Easel

We traded in the rice table for an art easel today... the kids are excited to paint and came up with their own rules:
Wear a smock, One paintbrush per color, Paint on paper.

Writer's Workshop

This week we started talking about stories having three parts: a beginning, middle, and ending. We call them our "three finger stories" because we can touch each finger as we tell that part of the story. Students are using the language "first, then, and finally" to tell each part. We've been practicing both telling stories and writing them. Here are a few!
