Walking Tour of 1st Grade!

This morning children came in talking all about whose class they would be in for 1st grade, and trying to figure out who might be with them! So, we made a little time during writer's workshop to go on a walking tour of the other part of the building where the first and second grade will be next year! We walked through each of the houses and I think the kids felt comforted to know they will be just down the hall, with many friends, and we even bumped into a couple of teachers!

An Eventful Day!

This morning we had PE in the classroom, then went to the 4th grade band and chorus concert. It was really long, but wonderful, and the kids were a fantastic audience! We also opened up a store in the dramatic play area and boy was it a hit! The kids made paper wallets and purses, got out dress up clothes, and stood in line waiting to "purchase" things.
